UDL 4 Learning Activities

Community of Practice Session 4: Learning Activities

A successful learning activity depends on learner engagement. How can we ensure that our activities engage learners who are neurodiversity? UDL offers us options to engage a broader range of learners. Since every learner has unique strengths and barriers, we must find ways to meet them where they are. Because every learner is different, we accomplish this by taking chances and experimenting with methods and approaches with the three UDL goals of Engagement, Representation, and Action & Expression in mind. As we get to know our learners, we discover their strengths and barriers and help them empower themselves to take control of their learning. But to do this, we start by figuring out how to engage them. Often, this is a significant challenge.
