ARISE: Apprenticeship Readiness Inventory Skills Evaluation

Some skilled trades apprentices are aware of their limitations in foundational skills, but many are not or have not received the proper tools and resources to successfully pass all in-school levels and final exams. They are stalled in their apprenticeship journey, and many are unable to progress to the status of journeyperson so they can, in turn, support the next round of apprentices. This project aims to assess the current challenges faced by apprentices associated with foundational skills and implement solutions in order to better support apprenticeship completion and retention throughout Ontario in the skilled trades. 

The ARISE project will then use the findings to identify solutions to better support apprenticeship completion and retention.
