Tamara Kaattari
About Tamara:
Tamara Kaattari co-manages Literacy Link South Central's ARISE Initiative, supports our work with the Future Skills Centre, and uses her considerable talents to develop programs and partnerships across the province.
She has an Honours degree in English and has further credentials in Teaching English as a Second Language, Adult Education, Editing and Evaluation. She is truly a lifelong learner. Tamara began her work in the literacy field as a tutor in a community-based agency, and became the Executive Director of Literacy Link South Central in 1996. She mentored LLSC's current Executive Director prior to moving into her Project Management role in 2025.
Tamara
brings her enthusiasm for literacy and her 20+ years of experience and knowledge of the literacy system to each local conversation. She
recognizes the changing powers of literacy and education, and is committed to building a dynamic and effective literacy system. Provincially, Tamara is actively involved in several committees to provide informed advice to the government about the needs and trends in Ontario’s literacy system.
