Skills for Success: Creativity and Innovation

Summer Burton • April 5, 2023

The Skills for Success are the nine skills the Canadian government has identified everyone needs to be successful in work, learning and life. Today we're continuing our look at the Skills for Success by talking about Creativity and Innovation.

According to the Canadian government, being creative and innovative means you can imagine, develop, and apply ideas in ways that are novel, unexpected, or different. For example, we use these skills to discover better ways of doing things, develop new products, and deliver services in a new way. Employers are looking for people who can apply creativity and innovation skills to their work, and who can come up with new solutions or approaches to tackling challenges.

Learn more about creativity and innovation and the other Skills for Success here, and think about how you use your creativity to come up with new and innovative ways of accomplishing tasks!
