New Resources for Workplace Preparation

For many learners, Literacy and Basic Skills programs offer the upgrading they need for successful employment, and we know through recent Workplace Literacy initiatives that people who are currently employed can also benefit from literacy upgrading. Through MLITSD’s Skills for Success initiative we are pleased that new curriculum and resources are available to support learners on the employment goal path and help LBS programs support employees.

We invite you to visit the Workplace Literacy page on the Literacy Resources and Discussion Forum to access new resources from organizations like Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO), Laubach Literacy Ontario (LLO), and the Ontario Association of Adult and Continuing Education School Board Administrators (CESBA).

Resource topics include communication, problem solving and decision making in the workplace, working in customer service, office administration or retail, marketing workplace literacy to employers, and completing organizational needs assessments.
