Literacy Programs

Literacy Programs

Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) programs are free and located across the province. These programs help people to build basic skills and continue their education.

We can help you if you are:
  • An Ontario resident.
  • 19 years old (Some exceptions are made for young adults between ages 16 to 18)
  • Able to speak and understand English or French enough to understand the literacy instructor (Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 6 for speaking and listening is the recommended)
There are several programs in our 6-county area. There are some specialized programs to fit the needs of certain cultures and abilities.

These programs can help you build the skills you need to achieve goals such as employment, secondary education, post secondary education, apprenticeships, and/or independence.

Learn what you need at a flexible pace - online or in person.

Contact us at literacylink@llsc.on.ca or 519-681-7307 to talk about which program is the best fit for you.
