Benefits to having a membership with Literacy Link South Central:

  • Voting privileges (Organizational and Individual-Voting members only)
  • Opportunities to network and compare notes with those in the literacy field
  • Reduced professional development fees
  • Public education and awareness of literacy as a social issue
  • Invitations to training events
  • Announcements relating to the literacy field

There are currently 4 types of memberships:

Organizational Membership: $40 per year
  • May be an organization that delivers literacy programs and endorses the goals of LLSC OR values literacy and endorses the goals of LLSC
  • Full benefits as listed above
  • One vote per organizational membership
Individual Voting Membership: $20 per year
  • Any individual that values literacy and endorses the goals of LLSC and is not directly involved in a literacy program
  • One vote
  • Full benefits as listed above
Individual Non-Voting Membership: $20 per year
  • An individual who is an employee of an Organizational Member
  • No voting privileges
  • Other benefits as listed above
Honourary Membership: Appointed by LLSC Board
  • An Honorary Membership without voting rights may be confered upon members or non-members of LLSC at such time and under such terms as determined by the Board
  • No voting privileges
  • Other benefits as listed above

To apply for membership:

  1. Print out the application form
  2. Complete the form
  3. Mail the form along with your payment to Literacy Link South Central
books
